Building a psychologically-informed future
for health & fitness coaching
Coaches are often supporting people through challenges relating to food, body image, motivation, wellbeing and mental health, yet psychology is rarely a core part of traditional training, especially in the fitness industry
Lumi delivers practical, evidence-based psychology education and supervision to help coaches and teams better understand psychology and mental health so they can support their clients with greater confidence, compassion and skill.
Our specialist psychology clinic is focused on supporting people with food, body image and weight-related issues. Through training coaches to become more psychologically-informed, we are building a trusted referral network. This enables us to deliver a more joined-up approach to for clients who may benefit from coaching or training alongside, or beyond, therapy.

Dr Claire Hamlet
Founder & Health Psychologist
If you're a health or fitness professional, you're working with the complexities of human behaviour daily. Your clients aren't just trying to exercise more or eat differently. They're often navigating challenges around eating, body image, confidence, stress, motivation, life events, habits, and mental wellbeing. You want to support them in the best way possible, yet many coaching qualifications spend little time on these topics, if they cover them at all.
I've a long-standing interest in health, fitness and behaviour change. My mission to make evidence-based psychology more accessible outside of the therapy room (within appropriate professional boundaries, of course), so that more people can benefit from psychological knowledge and skills.
Through training, webinars and practical resources I aim to bridge the gap between psychology and coaching, making psychological concepts practical and immediately applicable in everyday practice.
I'd love Lumi to be shaped by the people it serves. If there's a topic you'd like to learn more about, you're interested in collaborating, or you're a mental health professional who shares this vision, I'd love to hear from you (lumipsychologyuk@gmail.com) or find me on Instagram.
